Why We Grow Up In Hawaii

My grandparents grew up in Hawaii and they moved to America in 1938. I remember them telling me that they met in Hawaii and that Hawaii will always be their home. Whenever I go to Mimi (grandma) and Yaya’s (grandpa) house Mimi would show me pictures about the way she lived and Yaya loves telling me stories about how their people lived in Hawaii. Did you know the volcano was made in 1762 and didn’t erupt until 1874. Mimi told me that my father was born in Hawaii but he only lived there for 6 years. When Dad met Mom and got married they went back to Hawaii for their honeymoon, my mom showed me pictures and told me history stories about Hawaii and told me the foods they ate and all the great places to go to and everything. I want to climb volcanos, eat their foods and walk their beautiful beaches. Whenever I get a chance to pick a place that my family going for vacation I’m going to pick Hawaii because mostly I want to go see the oldest, most biggest volcano there The Grand Volcano! Yaya told me when he was a young adventurous boy he once tried to climb The Grand Volcano but it was really steep, so they had to careful climbing The Grand Volcano. There famous drink is coconut milk and there most famous food they have out there is snails. I don’t think that snails will be very good, but Mimi told me it taste like chicken but I don’t know about the snails...yuck! Snail isn’t the only famous food Hawaii has.
