There are a lot of reasons why the 80s was important (and the fashion wasn't that bad). There were a lot of great songs being released during that time, in my opinion I think the music was an important part of the 80s. A lot of beats that were being made during that time changed the music scene till this day. For example; I listen to a lot of hip hop and I've noticed a lot of artists use similar beats to the 80s a lot of music now a days are using beats that are different much like the 80s and many of these artists I listen to were motived or influenced by the music of the 80s.
