Who was Marsilio Ficino and why are his ideas important
Marsilio Ficino was a priest, a doctor, and a musician. He is however known for his works as an author and a philosopher. He was one of the greatest figures of the Italian Renaissance. He played a significant role in the discovery of classical learning by translating several ancient texts into Latin.
Ficino used his powerful intellectual and spiritual ideas by using an approach that makes spirituality be part of the total environment and culture of the society. Even though he was devoted to philosophy, he applied a more practical method that encouraged leaders to maintain their health in body and mind.
