This also did not allow for Germany to buy other material from countries because they did not have the proper funds to do so, but also because they needed to sell their materials to make money. Thus making them unable to make any money and making them go deeper into debt themselves and making other countries also go into debt because they did not have countries willing to buy from…

Germany is completely responsible for World War One because militarism builds armies and stockpiles weapons which leads to heightened tensions, alliance systems turn small conflicts into worldwide wars, and nationalism unifies countries but can cause adverse effects. Germany is to be completely blamed for World War One because militarism creates an arms race where nations expand their armies and accumulate weapons to feel safe while at the same time, intimidate their neighbors. World War I was one of the bloodiest wars in the modern age, with millions of dead soldiers and civilians and enormous losses on all sides (Chapman). After the war, the Allied nations looked for vengeance from the Central Powers and imposed a series of harsh treaties upon them, stripped them of substantial amounts of land and requiring significant repatriation payments (Mendum). The many of the Allied nations saw Germany as the chief instigator of the war and wanted to protect Europe from another war with Germany by crushing the country with retribution payments and severe obligations (Baker). Russia should have ten percent of the blame because they supported Serbia but did not start the war nor being the system of alliances. When Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia, Russia could have chosen to either back down or not involve the other members of the Triple Entente. However, they had a very small amount of the blame because they neither supported the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand nor was the one who declared war. Given that Germany was the one who wrote the first “blank check,” it makes sense that Russia would want to involve their allies in order to not be out-numbered. Russia also did not have a history of declaring wars on other European countries and was only concerned with culturally competing with Europe.…
