Why up north is awesome
Why I think up north is awesome it’s because their is not as much electronics and you get to connect with your family. When it's day time we go outside and there's a trampoline, a pond and just a lot of trees and paths we can hike at. Our neighbour has two horses so my sister goes and visits them a lot and I ride them once in awhile . If you go in the morning you can see deers, rabbits, etc their is also a large island in the middle of the pond and a bridge so yup you guessed it my mom and dad go on the island and drink their coffee on the island.

At night their is the most beautiful sight of the stars because there's barely any light pollution and every time I go up north I see the big dipper. We usually make a bonfire and put a tripod over it and make the most delicious most smoky steak in the world so good we should literally make a restraunt called Sleiman’s steak house. In the morning we usually can't go outside because my dad hunts deer in hunting season with a crossbow. In the evening we can go and pick eggs from the chickens. When it’s winter it is the most fun because their is a large hill so when snow comes we have the time of our lives by taking a tarp putting it on it’s slippery side and slide down the hill.

The pears those are so good I can't even describe them. In Spring when you wake up in the morning you can hear the bird chirping, you can see the the dragon flies in the air, and their is way too much frogs everywhere that’s why we don't have a fly problem at home. In summer it is way too hot we have to go to the lake every day we go up noth literally because I usually only stay their for two days then we have to go back

Thousands and thousands of women are seeking asylum in the United States, not because of war or discrimination, but they are seeking protection from a more personal danger: abuse from their husbands, boyfriends and male relatives. One woman recounted being raped, strangled and thrown against a wall by her husband, father of her twin boys. Two teenage girls discussed about being forced to become sex slaves for gang members. If the women do report the abuse to the police, they risk their homes being destroyed by gang members. “In my country, nobody pays attention to what women suffer,” Juliza, a victim of being sexual abuse by her husband said in a telephone interview with Pamela Constable who covers immigration issues and communities for the Washington Post .…

Another advantage that the North held over the South was its industries and distribution of the goods produced by these industries. The North held 85% of the factories in the United States and were able to produce more wartime goods than the South due to their efficiency within the manufacturing industry. This advantage in manufacturing was key in the North’s ability to supply its troops with weapons, adequate clothing, and other manufactured goods that would prove crucial to the North’s success. Other industries such as the agricultural production was also key to the North’s success. The North controlled 67% of the farm acreage in the United States and used this advantage to supply its troops with sufficient food for the war.…

In the mid 1800s there was a stark divide between the Northern and Southern regions of the United States. Many disputes between the North and the South eventually boiled over and resulted in the Civil War. There was conflict over slavery in the two regions of the United States. Southerners considered slaves to be property, not people; however, the North went through a period of moral suasion where they found god and thought slaves should be treated fairly. Economic differences between the North and the South furthered this divide.…

It always comes as a surprise to me when people comment on how there’s nothing to see as you drive through Saskatchewan. I can understand how different the scenery must be in contrast to mountainous backdrops or tropical landscapes, however I have always found the prairies to be uniquely beautiful, and I cannot grasp how others do not see that beauty as well. As I drive through southwest Saskatchewan, the world around me is full of magnificence. Despite popular belief, Saskatchewan is not a flat expanse of nothingness, rather it is a panorama of matchless flora and fauna. Whereas there are areas that are admittedly incredibly flat, the terrain varies as it melts into river hills, and there is a mix of farmland and native prairie grasses that serve to house countless wildlife and insects.…

After the United States declared their independence, it began to divide into two, and later three, main sections: the North, the South, and in the late 1800’s, the West. The North and South had several differences between them, which created significant tension, leading up to the Civil War of 1861-1865. The North was much more industrial than the South, partially because of factors such as being a more popular immigration spot, as well as geographical factors. The South was more agricultural, and seen as more of an agrarian society. Some disagreements were political, while others were geographic and economical.…

There were people in the Canteen waiting for the trains to come, and some ladies would be serving coffee, and some would serve sandwiches for the soldiers(61-62). Even the teenage girls would stand in the Canteen and welcome the services men with baskets of fruits. They prepared magazines, newspaper, and cigarettes for the soldiers, to take with them (15, 67).…

Humanity is known to signify empathy, sympathy, and overall kind interpersonal interactions. It is often associated with and used to characterize humans; however, humans have committed various atrocities that bring to question their humaneness; therefore, there is a lack of confidence within a human’s capability to be humane, and it is still not completely known as to why this occurs. However, according to Richard Flanagan, renowned author of The Narrow Road to the Deep North, humanity in and of itself is lost in times of circumstantial pressures. According to Flanagan, one reason that inhumane atrocities occur are due to the racial tensions instilled within people during times of ethnocentric pressure.…
