Joseph R Murray II states that President Trumps ban on Transgenders serving in the military is unfair. Though despite having this opinion, he is for the ban on the basis that Transgender people are dealing with issues psychologically and pysically. In addition, he Murray believes it would create a problem because people would spend more time talking about the issue of Transgenders fighting in the military aside from the greater issues that are occurring in society. The beginning of the article shared how Adam and Amber Briggle were nervous about having dinner with Paxton. This was because Adam and Amber have a transgender son and knew about Paxton’s recent decision to oppose the expansion of civil rights for gay and transgender people. Paxton opposing to expand civil rights for the gay and transgender population resulted in Adam and Amber to become concerned about their son’s safety when he goes to the bathroom at school. Inviting the Paxton family over for dinner was an act of diplomacy by the Briggle family and was a way for them to bond with the Paxton family; showing they are a family that cares deeply about the safe upbringing of their son in the Dallas-Fort community.…

II. Transgender in the Military Transgender represents 3-5% of the American population. Being out while in the military carries with it a host of other associated difficulties, including overt discrimination and, in the past, possible discharge from the service (Cochran, Balsam, Flentje, Malte & Simpson, 2013). Currently 60,000 LGBT service members are serving in active duty and the inequality of the treatment that they are receiving is saddening.…

Imagine being born into a family with green eyes and everyone related to you has brown eyes. You might feel different, not understood, or even alone at some points. If you would feel that way, then how do you think children born into the LGBT community feel after realizing their sexuality is a unique one? As parents, first time or not, you all need to grasp the painstaking reality of who your child is interested in. Parents should accept their children no matter what their sexual orientation because this problem could cause permanent "damages", child abandonment and worst of all, the child may go through a suicidal stage.…

Throughout history, the military has banned openly gay people, and ostracized them from the United States forces. Under the Obama administration, however, a policy called “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell”, was put into place, in order to protect LGBT people from being kicked out. In recent circumstances, this policy has been questioned by several other members of the Trump administration. It is the belief of many that LGBT are a necessity to the US military, just as much as any straight human being.…

Why shouldn't the LGBT community have equal rights!? It's estimated that there is only two hundred and twenty nine million gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgendered people in the world, that’s 5 percent of the seven billion people who inhabit this earth! However this number doesn’t stop hateful, disgusting bigots from saying that there is a "gay agenda" to turn their children gay. Egypt, Nigeria and Sudan are only three of the seventy nine countries in the world where being gay and lesbian is illegal, if you are caught with your partner three times you are sentenced to the death penalty!…

In the book Transgender People, I was given multiple views on both sides of against or with the transgender identity: chapters 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, and 12 were pro-transgender, while chapters 1, 4, 7, 9, and 11 were anti- transgender, the side I chose to focus on. Unfortunately, none of these chapters were not conceiving at all because the majority of the claims were not backed up by any strong explanations and the majority of people they quoted had a strong religious title or background. But at least all the authors were aligned with one point: that the transgender identity is a mental illness. In chapter 1, they stated the symptoms which was not backed up;in chapter 4, they stated who’s to blame which was the media and pediatricians; in…
