Why There Are Some Important Things We Take For Granted

There are so many things daily that we take for granted, some people don’t have the luxuries that we have. Freedom, In America we have it so good, we are free, we don't have wars going on all the time, and we can speak out for what we believe. Bravery, the brave men and women that serve in our military put their lives on the line almost every day, fighting wars, but also aiding to countries in need. There are so many things that we don't realize we have. Leadership, we have so many leaders, such as our governor who has helped so many people, for the reason of being a leader.

Literacy is very, very important in society, it helps when we need to learn, or when we want to have fun! There are so many types of freedoms that we take for granted such as; ability to read, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, etc. We don't have to get beaten mercilessly if learn to read (slaves were forbidden to learn to read or write). Some slaves, such as Nat Turner read a paper about the north being free. Freedom is so much more than what we see, freedom is everything.

Slaves had to be brave when working, or fighting for their freedom. It took a lot of bravery for slaves to learn to read, they would be beaten mercilessly. As for slaves that don't know how to read, or don't want to know, they are scared of being caught, and consequently being whipped or having fingers cut off. Bravery can go a long way anywhere, however it is hard to show with most thing in everyday life, nevertheless it is essential as well as
