The Ten Commandments The Ten Commandments set forth the rules and guidelines for Christianity. Not only that, they are the basis of christian behavior and still highly regarded many centuries after their believed conception. The Ten Commandments serve a key purpose in the Catholic community. They are viewed and ‘appreciated’ at a much higher standard than most other Catholic elements. For no one can ever be made right to God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are. (Romans 3:20) This passage goes to show that not only do we need God, we desire him. God fulfills all the emptiness within. The
