Personal Narrative: The Only Possible Things In My Life

the NBA would be the only possible thing I would be able to do in life. It did not happen and I was kind of lost for a point in my life with not knowing what to do with myself.

After I graduated high school I decided eventually to go play basketball at the local junior college and it just didn’t feel the same for me and I lost a lot of confidence in myself in about everything. For the first time in my life I quit a team which was a huge mistake and something I should have stuck out and did regardless. After quitting the team I started hanging out with old friends who weren’t really doing the best thing and who were involved in the streets a lot. We found ourselves drinking and just doing nothing for some months and then I could just feel I wasn’t doing the right thing but continued. I eventually got back into school but still didn’t play basketball and ended up sitting out another year due to not wanting to play but I started actually liking to play again. Hanging out with the same guys who were basically thugs just wasn’t associated with any gangs.

It was a really stressful summer and I did not know what to do I was lost at that time. No matter how many times I thought about what I wanted to do it just didn’t seem right. I gave my coach a call because he deserved that type of respect and he did not believe me when I told him that I had a baby on the way. I told him I didn’t know what to do and that I didn’t think I was going to be able to have the money to move back with having a child on the way. He called me the next day and told me that he worked it out to the point all I had to do was provide food for myself and everything else would be covered because he wanted me to be able to come back to
