Why The Fidget Spinner Should Be Allowed In Schools

Students sit in class tapping their fingers, looking out windows and kicking their feet struggling to pay attention. The other students get annoyed hearing the clicks of their pens over and over again, and teachers get irritated with these students for doodling over their notes. Fidget spinners should be allowed in children’s classrooms to use as an aid for kids with mental health issues, to make kids smile, and to keep kids paying attention. Children these day are born with mental health issues, including ADHD and anxiety. Fidget spinners can support all these and can reduce stress. Children with ADHD have trouble paying attention during class. They struggle during school and get distracted easily. It helps students who have this to be doing something to keep them interested. So instead of hearing the annoying click of an obnoxious pen over and over again, these kids can use the fidget spinner. This will create less noise than a clicking pen or tapping feet and keep the student intrigued with what they are doing. Students with anxiety have little nervous habits which could be pulling their fingers or twirling their hair. Fidget spinners could eliminate these nervous habits. When these people start feeling irritated during class they could start to play with the fidget spinner to ease themselves. Fidget spinners work much like a …show more content…
Some kids are always miserable during school. They don’t want to do anything or even smile. Sometimes they just need to lighten up their day, and the fidget spinner could do just the trick. Students can’t really explain what makes a fidget spinner so pleasant and entertaining. I have asked a few of my fellow students what they like about fidget spinners. They all said something along the lines of, “I am not sure what makes them fun. They just are!” It is also easier for a student to do his or her work when one is in a gleeful mood other than an upset
