Justice
Many people have committed crimes. Some because that is what they do best and some because they don 't know any better and even some who commit crimes out of love, believing the crime is for a greater good. The United States criminal justice system should not allow for exceptions in the application of law due to the fact that justice should be applied equally to all. Even though a person might be disabled, a violation of the law or murder still remains as an illegal action. Another reason is that the law should be applied equally for all. Some jurors might believe that some of the crimes were committed “compassionately” due to the fact that the crime was committed because it was to make someone 's life better and put them out of their misery. Others believe, that no matter why the crime was committed, a crime is a crime, so they should be punished without any leniency. All of the crimes should have an equal consequence, because some people might take advantage of the leniency of the laws , and can make it look like they need a lenient punishment. As a result, serial killers might go free and roam the streets again just because it will seem like he/she killed someone in the act of “love” or even to make the world better. Finally, the criminal justice should treat everyone equal despite their morality beliefs. Even though the crimes may look like they were committed for the greater good, it doesn 't stop from being a crime. Taking an innocent life will never be good. A good act should be helping people, not killing them. Killing people should never be counted as a “compassion” act, it should never have a lenient law.
