Everything was ruined.

No doubt Will was behind putting honey on the cake. He was the one closest to the food and he didn't get a slice.

A cheap revenge!

Erin was in tears as her hard work was nourishing bees and flies.

"Why are you crying over Elodie's cake?" Sam asked her. When other skeptical glances met Erin's face, she quickly wiped her face.

"It was her recipe that I followed," I intervened before anyone else could. Fortunately, the seniors believed it. "I can't believe one jealous person who didn't get cake would go to the extent of ruining my hard work!" I said angrily. Will stood with his arms crossed and a thoughtful face. Why was he pretending to be innocent?!

"My birthday's ruined," Leah, the overly dramatic actress, whined.

Erin, Jess, Leah, and I cleaned up whatever was left. When I saw Will lingering around and offering his help, I snapped.

"After ruining everything, you want to help?"

His eyebrows furrowed. "Elodie, are you insane? Why'd I do this?" Jess, Leah, and Erin were surprised at my accusation. Not finding an argument with Will worth my time, I ignored his expression of disbelief and gathered my things. He picked up his backpack and began marching inside the building. The school's courtyard wasn't worth sitting in. "By the way," Will called from a distance, "don't blame me for something you best friend, Sam, did."

With a bitter smile, he walked away.

Jess, Leah, Erin, and I announced our shock. How could Sam stoop so low to destroy chances of impressing Ace Jacobson? Furthermore, I accused Will without thinking
