In my opinion some of these interpretations are convincing such as the film “For the Bible Tells Me So” because instead of trying to just have one side mentioned, they mention the two sides. They use the whole bible and state the views of both sides. The only downside about the film is that they included stories about families but not all families are the same. Another source that I found convincing is the interpretation of Genesis 19 and how God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of their lack in hospitality because they looked at Genesis 18. I found that convincing because Swartley step 1b is literary context and how one should read the beginning and the end to understand the passage better. A source that I found unconvincing is the film “Preserving Marriage in Minnesota” because it doesn’t mention any biblical passages and how they support their claim and they also used statistics that are not relevant. I still do not have a firm opinion on this point because I still need to investigate more in what the bible says. Passages that I am still confused in is Leviticus because of the mentioning of an abomination and how it can have other meanings like the homosexuality but I feel like it can also have a meaning towards the raping that was occurring by straight men towards other men. - In general, I see a lot of the Benedictine values being helpful. In this case I think the Benedictine value that can help the academic work in a small group is respect for persons. Respect for persons is helpful when dealing with a small group because one should respect what others have to say regardless of their religion, background, or race. I feel that while showing respect for persons, other Benedictine values ties in such as listening.

- Some Benedictine values that I see as irrelevant towards academic work in a small group is Truthful living and justice. think truthful living is irrelevant towards the academic work because it is based on how we live and transforms themselves. Also the Benedictine value of justice isn’t relevant towards the academic work because that value is keeping the community in order and practicing justice.
