Why Taking Testing Is Important

Testing for a lot of people is considered to be what I think of as a hard thing to have to do. Why I think and feel this way is because the most test that someone has to take is taken with having a reason behind it and to follow. Testing is completed to determine what you know or has learned about something. There are many reasons why we have to take a test. Some of the reasons for taking a test is in school to learn where each child’s knowledge of education stands, driving test to receive your driver’s licenses, college entry exam to get into a certain college, military testing to be accepted into the military, medical research testing, etc. Each individual experiences testing in a different way. For some people, testing comes really easy for them and for others not so well. …show more content…
I would always wait until the day before or so to start to study for my test because I wanted the material to be fresh in my mind. My way of studying for a test has always been to read the material and review my class notes, which has worked for me usually but not always has allowed me to pass the test. Since starting my classes at Belhaven College I have struggled a little with test taking. In one of my classes, I struggled with test taking because I was not able to summarize the questions asked on the test into paragraphs. I did not take notes when reading my chapters and felt that I would remember all of what I had read and when taking notes in class I just took notes as the main pin-points.
