Students Should Stay in School Until Graduation “Nationwide, it is estimated that 1.2 million students drop out of high school each year. This is nearly 1-in-3 or an average of 7000 students per day. These numbers are even more devastating among minorities almost 50% of Black and Latin students don’t graduate on time” (“U.S. Dropout Crisis in Focus”). It’s hard to believe that over a million students are dropping out. That means there are less opportunities for their work ethic. Students need to stay in school to have a better lifestyle in the future. Although students think school is difficult and challenging, students should remain in school until high school graduation. Eventually students will be in the world alone to find jobs. If they don 't take the time to learn the essentials, there is a chance they won’t get their dream job and could cause more trouble. Students who dropout don’t have very good education, causing a negative impact on them, and others around them (Ledford). They will have to face the world on their own, and without much education, this could be a problem. They are future employees that will work for others, but will not know what to do. “Everyone has something they can contribute, and the positive impact that corporate volunteers make would be a wise investment in our future” (“Ledford”). The future is literally in the student’s hands, shaping the world in how they see fit. If they don’t take advantage of their education, it could very well be the end of the economy or worse, the world. Because students have a better chance with the economy when finished with school and they also control the economy, students should stay in school until high school
