Why Students Should Not Go To College Essay

Some seniors in high school still do not know what they want to be in the future and some others are just careless when it comes to the future, even if they are going to graduate in a couple of days. Some of the high school graduates who are planning on going to the college are just going to figure out themselves. Why go to college if you are just figuring yourselves out? Why not just take a year off for that? The graduated high school students should not be forced to attend college because some students present financial problems, lack of motivation, and lack of interest.

The parents do their job by telling or forcing their child to go to college, yet it all depends on the child if he or she wants to pursue a degree or not; if he or she wants to work hard on earning the education. Moreover, even if a student wants to do or is doing everything possible to earn the education that he or she needs, yet they still cannot because the parents are not involved much in the college or “having been through the system” (Miller 674). Some students just attend four years of education because their parents are paying for it and that is what children of their social class are supposed to do after they graduate from high school (Murray 677). Everyone should not be forced to attend college because it is expensive for some students and they might be neither motivated nor interested in it. Do something that is affordable and also interests and motivates you to do. Do not do something because you are told you or you are supposed to; do something that excites you. Every person is unique.
