They usually think of college as freedom. Subsequently, indulging themselves in all sorts of activities, they ignore the necessity of academics and show least interest towards setting up a long-range goal for themselves. This turns out to be catastrophic in their educational life. As a result they fail to accomplish what they desire. It is necessary that every student set a future goal for his/herself and work on achieving it one way or another. These goals do not have to be specifically defined, but they must be one’s own. Perhaps the greatest challenge that’s faced by students is dealing with the increased freedom which they enjoy being away from home. Now at this time, the choice is entirely theirs regarding the usage of time, social activities, and even whether or not to attend class or do assignments. Many have poor management skills, and perhaps a problem of procrastinating, which can lead to suicidal GPA. They wait till the due date of projects or assignments and then rush through them making careless, yet serious mistakes. This poor attitude turns out to be a failure. These choices are accompanied by consequences. Pertaining to this, if students don’t make the right choice for managing their time for studying and being a part of activities, they would probably end up unsuccessful during their college life. It is therefore advised that college students should develop certain maturity and be aware of the consequences they might face if they misbalance different aspects of college
