Most kids when they get to high school want to join a team of their favorite sport whether its football, soccer, basketball, cheerleading etc. There are some benefits to being in those sports. One of the benefits is that it could prevent heart disease which is the number one killer. It also motivates students to reach there goals and be successful. Sports help to keep the students active by doing exercise and stretching and that is good for there health. Being good at sports can also get you scholarships for college. Their schools can receive money when they win in tournaments versus other schools.
