Children around the world are included in child labor. Sometimes they are sold into slavery, sometimes they are kidnapped for many different reasons. This article will list some reasons that kids of almost all ages are sold, or brought into child labor.
One reason children are sold into this terrible act, is that kids don’t get enough money and in some families, that is all they need other than food and water so they sell their children into slavery, even though most jobs are low paying. Also according to the Child Labor Education Project some jobs are carpet weaving, a job where carpets are handmade that takes hours upon hours of handiwork -sometimes even days- ,crops and all of this comes back around to the income they are making because of the slavery that takes place since …show more content…
Whether it’s for religion or fighting for their rights, kids are being enslaved, harassed and hurt every day. One example that we learned about is Iqbal Masih, an 11 year old boy who was shot after he escaped from a carpet weaving company then started doing teen activism and was fighting against child labor. When he was killed it hit all carpet sales moving to the west, as explained in the first paragraph. Also, according to biography,com Malala Yousafzai was shot near her left eye and lived through it on October 9, 2012. She was shot and nearly killed by a gunman from the Taliban, a group of young men who are terrorizing Pakistan and shutting down schools. The man shot her because she believed in education for women which did not go by well with the Taliban. These are some examples
