Why I Grow Up In A Christian Home

My hypocrisy is saying one thing and then doing another thing. Know I try and not going as much as I probably unknowingly sis it when I was younger. Some of the reason that this may be is because I did not grow up in a Christian home, but my parents did go to church and my sister and I went to Sunday school. We also did go to a catholic school. There are going to be times when this is going to still happen because we are not perfect people. So why should it matter what we say and do? Yes, this also is going to mean that we are failing as people. But we can’t quit doing it we are sinners. So why should we stop. Okay, so this also could mean that we will lose those friends that are around us and we want to be true friends with. Sure we are not going to be perfect, but we should try to be ourselves around everyone. Some reasons that I do have this tendency to be a two faced person so to say is because of multiple factors. Some of the factors are personal factors, cultural factors, and philosophical factors. The personal factors are how I grew up, which makes sense because I did not grow up in a Christian home were we discussed it. I was older when we started talking about it. Some of also could have had to do with …show more content…
We are not going to gain anything from it all we are going to do it lose them at some point. So why make it look like you want to be there friend because of what they do instead of what they are like as a person. This also may mean you won’t loose them you could just cause a rift between the two of you, fortunately I have never had this happen. Instead be yourself all of the time instead of changing who you are just to please those that are around you. This would mean that we are not lying to those that we love and want to keep a relationship with. All of this could mean that we are going to be better off in the long run instead of hurting those that are around

Many people become friends that are like them and are interested in what they like or need so that the other person can be useful to them. It is more a convenience type of friendship because something is wanted once that reason is not there the friendship ends. This is something that is seen all the time and over and over it occurs in everyone’s life. I also agree that it is rare to find good friendships that want nothing in return but the good as the ultimate goal. Aristotle says there is only about one or two friends that a person will ever find in life.…

The Christian gospel is perceived in our culture in a lot of ways, but one that stands out to me is that we are perceived as hypocrites to the nonbelievers. Many times we are looked at as hypocrites when we make a mistake, or do something that is not biblical. Because nonbelievers do not know the bible, they automatically assume that we are not entitled to make any mistakes. But Gods says in Roman 3:23 that “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (New King James Version, Rom. 3:23). So that means that no one is perfect and we all make…

Hypocrisy is interesting! I sometimes feel that hypocrite people might actually suffer a disconnect between the perception of their believe and its reality, rather than that they are aware of what they do and choose to deny it. Per example, I think texting and driving is dangerous and irresponsible, and I will be quick to negatively label people that practice it. Yet , in reality I do imagine I would text and drive if I was to seek it’s convenience at some point. In this example, my mind accepts the idea that I am against texting and driving, but the perception of this believe applying to me is a mirage.…
