Obscuring information is the act of hiding information online. Many people rely on obscurity to hide personal information because sometimes it's hard to be discovered. People shouldn't be allowed to obscure their identities online, because they hide their real identity, and comment anonymously affecting public spaces and figures.
To start with, people shouldn't have the right to hide their identity because perverts could take advantage of young girls. For instance, according to the article, Anonymity and Online Community, published by John M, “Wikipedia’s recent reaction to the revelation that Congressional staffers were editing the heck out of their politician’s bios (and those of their opponents) is also pretty telling.” (April 04, 2006). Wikipedia is one of the many websites who offer to post anonymously, because of that a political figure was almost destroyed. Another Example, stated in the article, How to deal with negative Facebook comments on your brand’s page, it says “The truth is that you will always have people complaining about your products or services, no matter what kind of business you are in, and Facebook is just another channel for them to voice out their unhappiness.” (September 29, 2014).
