Parents are the reason for the illegal actions of their child. This is because some parents do not take the time to talk to their child, letting them know what is right and what is wrong, these children will later grow up into dangerous and immoral criminals. There are people who neglect their children and do not pay attention to them, and so the child will not know or learn what is right and wrong. This is why parents should be legally responsible for their children's actions because they are their child’s biggest influence, they should teach them, and penalizing will make both parents and children more responsible.
When children are growing up they imitate or act like their parents, so when that parent is irresponsible, reckless, and cruel the child will most likely become that. Studies shown from the University of Chicago in the “journal of abnormal child psychology” say that “adolescent antisocial behavior was learned by observing and interpreting examples set by parents”. For example if we fined parents for the illegal actions of their child, then they will know the repressautions of not educating their children and that this is a serious problem. Children will know that what their doing causes problems to others around them and will learn to stop. The parents who do not educate their children are most likely lazy and does not pay attention to their child, but penalizing parents for their failures to teach their kids will make put in more effort into helping their kids.
