Why Should Drivers Lose Their Drivers?

The purpose of this research study is to address the question of should drivers who are prosecuted with a DUI lose their license. The reason this topic is important is because those who have DUI’s on their record only face minimal consequences. On the first offense, the driver’s license is only suspended for 4 months. However, on the second offense within 10 years will result in a one year suspension. It is shown that DUI’s are one of the major causes of death each year. Those who are caught driving under any influences whether it is from alcohol or drugs should lose their license for good. As a result, there will a decrease in the death toll each year and there will be a crackdown on drivers. Hopefully, it will cause citizens to become safer drivers and follow the rules of the road. The driver shows signs of intoxication and is a danger to not only individuals who are on bikes, but also other drivers on the road. How would parents feel if that was a son or daughter behind the wheel of the car and had to encounter that driver? What if there was an accident because of the drunk driver and a child is lost? Nothing can be done to bring this child back from this unforeseen accident. What should be done to this driver due to his selfish actions and for getting behind the wheel of the car without full driving capabilities?
