Cop Army Police Soldier The Controversy Theres many reasons why cops should be militarized and many reasons why they should not but which side should prevail? Many people do not want police militarized due to a military mindset scary vehicles and unneeded deaths. But there is also many reasons they should be such as saving lives making the job easier and having a clear mind. Even though many people do not want police militarized, they should due to the increased crime in the US. Police these days can and will drive in armored vehicles. These days it's quite normal and seen often for raids or just patrol and many people hate this and believe that it's not needed. Police enforcement vehicles scare people and it is understandable many mount guns or areas for guns with slits on the side to shoot out and some even grenade launchers attached to the vehicle. People think they are turning into soldiers people who kill not people who save. This is very bad because soldiers jobs are to kill the enemy cops are to help keep peace and save people. This could be the cause for people being killed by cops or not and some of this could be the cause of people getting mad and fighting the police. Many people say police are killing innocent people as this may be true as it has happened police save many more lives than lives lost, this is a fact and most people just don't believe it.
