Why Should Backpacks Be Allowed In Schools

Liberating Backpacks at South Western High School Although backpacks are currently banned throughout the day at South Western High School, backpacks are an essential learning tool, as they save everyone time, promote student health, and pose little (if any) safety risks. First, allowing students to carry backpacks throughout the school day would save everyone time. Since backpacks have multiple compartments, they allow students to carry learning materials like textbooks, calculators, binders, and writing utensils. Students can use backpacks to transport laptops inside dedicated sleeves. As a result, students would waste less time at their lockers searching through debris for assignments and missing homework. Teachers, too, will welcome backpacks when …show more content…
The way this helps students health is it gives students less back problems because now backpacks now a day’s are more ergonomical.They’re now designed to support all of your books and benefits your back while carrying yours books to and from school and throughout the school. This also helps you with your personal hygiene such as tissues,lip balm. This is also is a lack of privacy for women because you can’t always walk around with your personal things out in the open when something is going on and you can’t always make it to your locker and to the bathroom and it helps you avoid from being embarrassments. The backpacks also help students keep up with hydration throughout the school day without interrupting the class just to get a pass to go to the fountain when they can just carry around the water bottle with them. They could also carry around their lunches in their bags so they won’t be late to lunch and not have enough time to eat, which is important though the day because experts say it is better to have a full stomach when you go to your classes because you learn better because you’re not just thinking about eating food all class
