For the sake of the argument, we consider the fetus to be a person and have the right to life. Opposed to Thomson, I believe that aborting the fetus should be considered unjust killing because it is being deprived of the right to use the mother's body. My first and obvious premise are that the mother is causally responsible for the existence of the fetus. By casually responsible I mean to say that the mother partially caused the fetus to exist, while performing sex.…

Abortion can be a touchy subject that people argue the fact over if it's right and legal or wrong and should be illegal. Some people feel that abortion is not murder, but there are studies shown that abortion is murder. Although it is the mother’s choice on whether she wants to keep the baby or not, she should think clearly about all of her options. Not only does she need to think about all of her options, but she should realize that this was her actions which had nothing to do with the unborn baby.…

To know someone would suffer their entire life if they are born and let them be born would possibly seem as cruel and inconsiderate or even heartless. Because they are within our moral community, we should not let them suffer a painful life. Because they are the child 's parents, they should have a say in whether or not the child is born and suffers it 's whole life, or gets aborted and never has to…

Though astounding controversy surrounds the topic of abortion, significant evidence reveals abortion to be murder. The mission of an abortion procedure is to kill a defenseless unborn baby, though the physicians who perform these procedures and the activists for the cause do not identify the collection of cells to be a human life; in contrast to this belief, abortion is undeniably fatal to a child. What many fail to consider is the manner in which our society views life. “As early as 21 days after conception, the baby 's heart has begun to beat his or her own unique blood-type, often different than the mother 's.” (Moore & Persaud) The question is simple: If the human race considers a life ended when the heart halts its function, in similar…

Once a woman is pregnant, she should not abort a child at all because it is a blessing from god and there are hundreds of thousands of couples who cannot have children due to medical and physical conditions. Moreover, in the article, it is stated that “abortion causes psychological damage and young adult women who undergo abortion may be at increased risk for subsequent depression (par.12).” This is another solid reason that abortion should not be permitted because it can cause a life-long depression. A lot of researches and studies have shown that once a woman aborts a child, she feels the remorse for her entire life and always fears that she might not be able to have a child ever again. I have seen a lot of young girls who have done abortions and now they are regretting their decisions.…

“From 1973 through 2011, nearly 53 million legal abortions were performed in the United States – an average of about 1.4 million abortions per year” (Ashford-Grooms). I have recently changed my position regarding the morality of abortion. Before, I held the position that we do not know when exactly a fetus becomes a conscious human being. There is no specific moment, which we can prove, that a soul enters the fetus and the fetus then becomes an actual ‘human being,’ for lack a lack of a better explanation. Some will argue that life begins at conception; others want proof of this claim.…
