Why Sports Should Be Banned In Sports

The history of Sport has evolved greatly over a period of many years. The purpose of participating in sport was for one team to prevail against the other through physical combat whilst providing entertainment to a certain crowd. However the competitive nature of sport has allowed some individuals to shift their physical performance beyond reality, through the use of illegal substances in order to gain an unfair advantage on their opponent. Professional athletes who knowingly take illegal substances should be eliminated from the sport immediately as it promotes an unjust behaviour towards themselves, their competitors and the sport. This essay will outline three reasons as to why a lifetime ban is appropriate for those who deliberately take performance enhancing drugs.
