Why She Happened To Me?-Personal Narrative

Have you ever went through something and at the time it made no sense to you then later on one day it comes to you in perfect sense as to why it happened? In my belief everything happens for a reason. Every little small thing that happens to us leads to something in the bigger picture in the long run of our life. Sometimes it’s hard to comprehend in life but it is definitely a concept i have always reminded myself. Sometimes unexplainable things happen to us. They happen sometimes for the better or worse but they still happen to us for a reason, either …show more content…
I took my reins in my hand and steered her in the direction of the green, grassed field that was just several feet away. We went around the outside perimeter of the field for a couple laps just walking and trotting just to get a sense of how she was going to be. She was being so good we went up to a canter and she was perfect. That same great feeling came to me, the same one with my hair gently flowing through the wind while the sun was shining down and suddenly nothing else mattered to me.
While there was barrels set up in the field we were cantering in a circle and then i finally reached up to the barrel and sharply turned around it. She turned around the barrel like hot cakes. She was what i wanted. A good barrel racing horse and that’s what she was sowe ended up taking her home with us. When we finally arrived bringing her home i unloaded her into the field and she ran out and greeted the other horses and was settled into her new home in no time. Months of riding and training went by and it was time for her and i to compete in our first rodeo together already.
I was unsure about how well we would do but i wasn’t expecting that highly of a win, speaking of that this was the first time we competed together and there a lot of other competitors. It was time to run in the arena and start our first run together. As soon as we reached the entrance pearl started

(1)Most movies that I’ve seen that were based on a real story bored me to death, mainly because there was no big dramatic scene of teen drama or fighting. I like dreamy romantic movies that capture your imagination and vigorously strive to meet popular demand. But once I saw the Walt Disney film, Secretariat my mind completely changed, Secretariat opened up my eyes to the history of our world and the horse racing industry. (2)(play part of the race) (3)Secretariat was a horse that defied all odds to be the first horse in 25 years to win the triple crown race. Even with a poor start, being sixth out of the gates, he demonstrated his endurance by passing the competition to achieve first place.…

Not so much about how she will perform but more on how well I've worked with her and if I've taught her what she needs to know and if it was enough for her to be ready to be at her first race. We are here for exhibition runs only tonight so I ease my thoughts by focusing on that. We are here for her to get used to the surroundings and the excitement of the barrel racing scenes. She has to get used to being around unfamiliar horses, so many new and loud noises, her first time in an indoor arena to ride, are just the beginning of the path ahead of us. With all of this in mind, I get her saddled and go to sign up for our…

Waldeinsamkeit I first notice the sting of the crisp air as I filled my lungs with a breath. The wind was brushing my hair across my face; slightly blurring my vision. I walked along the grass path towards my horse, Ruby. His mane was knotted and had grown in length. His eyes were full of mystery and deep colors.…

Every little girl grows up loving horses, but most outgrow that desire. I never did. When I was young, I was scared of them because the first horse I fed a carrot to looked as though he could eat me. I was 4 years old and also the size of his head. For the longest time, I wished to ride and train horses even though I did not know a single thing about doing that; today, I teach other people more about how horses work within their herd and how humans can better work with their horse.…

Wind in my hair, the solid and heavy, steady beat of hooves on the ground. I throw my head back laughing in joy. This is how to live. The sound of leather stirrups rubbing against a large saddle is one of my favorites, along with the happy breathing of a horse being given its head to run free.…

Her scarlet gaze left the bale of turtles idling on a rock to beyond the still, tenebrous waters, shadowed by a gathering of trees housing large debris arranged so by the officious wave that came ashore months earlier. Now those very trees lean, amongst toppled trees that lay about the lowland. During their last visit, a green meadow courted them, but now an almost bare, blemished landscape lay before them and Tabitha couldn’t help but reflect on what life before, and ever since the Lavinia brought them to Draíocht Dol’s shore was like. Merely a day shy of their departure from their homeland, they learned of the passing of their eldest son, Uri who’d left in the Genesis weeks earlier in the hopes of making their transition easier.…

“Everything happens for a reason.” Everyone has probably heard that saying at least once in their life. Some people might roll their eyes at how cliché it is but I believe in fate and that every step you’ve taken will lead you to your calling. A person is born for a sole purpose, that purpose might be unknown, but there is a hole to fill. There might be times when you feel lost at sea, gasping for air…

The Celebration Imagine a big white horse, tail swaying back and forth, head bobbing up and down and Larry Bright playing the best music on a piano, you have ever heard. In seventy-eight years, I hope the tradition my dad brought me to love will still be going on, but flourishing better than now. At the age of two, my parents took me to the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration, for the first time. Yes, I said national, in the little town that I grew up in that has more churches than bars. Where I grew up, the nicest gatherings were held in a horse arena.…

The time that I recall when I had to stop digging and solve a problem is when I was competing in a barrel racing event. Whenever I would began my race, leaving the alley- way headed towards the first barrel I never pushed my horse hard enough, which caused us to lose time. In order for me to fix the problem I had to go back into the practice pen and go over my fundamentals. When I went back over all of my fundamentals I figured out the problem. Which was I wasn’t being aggressive.…

The time I was a mean girl– it’s a story that I’m both proud and ashamed to tell. Proud because it shows how much I’ve grown since the third grade, but ashamed because it reminds me that I was Regina George in the body of a little girl. The mess began with Gabrielle Fisher. She was everything I wasn’t. The girl was from New York and seemed exotic to everyone in my class, including myself.…
