First of all, according to Amy Morin, “Delaying the start time of high schools within a district could pose problems with bus schedules, after school activities, and sporting events. Most districts already have staggered start times for the schools and they report that delaying the high school start time would have a domino effect on all the schools that could pose a logistical nightmare.” There are many districts that use the same busses for different schools; if school were to start later the busses wouldn’t have enough time to transfer students to and from the schools. With many different levels starting at the same time will cause stress for parents who drive their kids, bus drivers, teachers with kids, and more people. As well as having transportation issues, public resources will be limited if schools where to start later. They wouldn’t be getting any more sleep because schools would get out later which means staying up later to do homework; this could actually cause more health issues instead of solving them.
