One important reason Rome fell was Natural disaster. When Rome was disturbed by a massive earthquake, the shores were left dry like the sea made a sudden retreat but it came back with an immense flooding. That caused 50,000 people to lose their life. Then there was a series of the plagues that swept over the empire. The result of the disease declined the population from about a million people to 250,000. The soldiers got really lazy and abandoned the ground drill and didn't wear any protections. There wasn’t many recruits, so they had to use germanic soldiers and there were no loyal to Rome at all. They wouldn’t care what happens to Rome they just want to money. This was the most important factor in Rome’s, “fall” because there wasn’t many soldiers and the germanic soldier didn’t care, and when they see trouble they wouldn’t do anything. They wouldn’t fight for their lives, they would let the intruders through.
