A story begins about a dead dog being found by prayers in a temple court and blaming Christians for the crime. In spite of multiple Christians being killed for the act one man offered himself as sacrifice and was killed. The author blames Muhammad for this example of superstition. He concludes by stating Ali a caliph, considered himself a prophet himself. People who followed this were called Shiites. This source was written to show how corrupt Islam was in the eyes of Christians. They believed in these superstition which the Christian author thought was unjustified. We can learn that the Muslims had no mercy for Christians as they almost caused a uprising. It also puts a good name to Christians by showing they are loyal to god as the man gave up his life for god.
