Reasoning behind this is includes trying to foster transparency and ease gender wage gaps. Raising the minimum wage could cost jobs and create distortions according tom Warren Buffet. Buffets says raising minimum wage is a form of price fixing and instead prefers to reform the EITC. Raising the minimum wage would indeed cost a lot of jobs, and create the illusion that the inequality looks better, but in reality, if we raise the minimum wage, we are only paying these low income individuals more money for the same amount of output they perform. Our economy would not benefit from this at all. Our country was built on the idea of free market. Your income should reflect what you put in society. If we start focusing on making everyone more equal, we will be moving in a direction towards communism. Those types of markets have historically never done well. Accountants and jobs related, could lose jobs as tax software improves. Jobs can be broken into smaller tasks by data-processing technology, making specialization almost obsolete. As a result of machine intelligence, people could be forced to specialize in more emotive jobs. Technology has grown exponentially in recent decades. If this trend continues, there’s no telling what jobs machines could replace humans with. In the past, there was worry over this, but it just lead to people specializing in other occupations as a result of the growing technology. Technology could lead to jobs being lost, but it opens the door to new job opportunities as well. Generations will have to adapt, just as they did before, for employment to stay
