Why Rainforests Are More Diverse Than Other Forests

The reason why rainforests is more diverse than other forests is because the climate is humid and moist, little to no winds, and have rapid recycling of the soil nutrients. This makes their ecosystem richness is higher than other forms of forests. Specifically tropical rain forests are located at the equator, whereas other forests are more dispersed across the globe.
Because rain forests have a higher richness, their destruction would have greater consequences than a forest in someone’s backyard. Without rainforests unique forms of medication and or cures would be reduced significantly. The various species that were pushed out of their home, could invade other ecosystems, therefore unbalancing them as well.
