Steve Rogers is a patriotic American solider from World War II who is given a “super solider serum” and becomes the living symbol of freedom, Captain America. Left frozen in ice the super hero wakes years later to continue his battle for liberty.

Captain America is a comic book super hero created in 1941 during World War II. Steve Rogers is a scrawny young man from New York who is rejected by the army several times because of his frail body and his asthma. The rejected solider is then given the opportunity to become a part of “project rebirth” where he is given a “super solider serum” and he becomes Captain America.

After becoming a super solider and with the lack of the rest of the super solider army Captain America accepts and offers to use his newfound fame to promote support for the army. His brightly coloured cotton uniform accompanied by a triangular shield make the perfect outfit for the USO shows. When Steve hears about his captured friends he takes the situation into his own hands and decides to rescue them he wears a less obvious outfit with a leather jacket his shield and one of the show girls helmets. Captain America’s next uniform is his Howard Stark uniform which was based on his USO uniform but made for battle. This is also the uniform that he was left frozen in for 70 years. When he wakes up in the 21st century he is given a new uniform with the classic stars and stripes, lightly armored and the most aerodynamic of all his uniforms. It is also the only uniform that doesn’t allow him to attach his shield to his back. The S.H.I.E.L.D Stealth uniform, is bullet proof and is dark blue with silver and muted red stripes. The red stripes on the shield are painted blue for covert missions. The uniform resembles that of modern day military uniforms. The Tony Stark uniform is a combination of the avengers uniform and the stealth uniform. He can now call back his shield by use of an electromagnet that is attached to his leather
