Why People Do Good Things

Have you ever felt good about something to the point that you do not want anything in return? Have you just did something from the heart, and felt proud of it? I know I have and it feels awesome. I’m always such a helper or a listening ear to people. I feel as though if you do good things, then good things will come to you. That’s the truth, and I live by that ever since I was younger. I cannot count on how many times I have helped someone, it keeps coming and coming and I do not complain about the good deeds that I have encountered on the daily. My good deed that I did today was helping this person that I did not know pick up her papers that fell on the ground. I could have just easily kept on moving and head back to my room, but I didn’t. I turned and helped her out. When you helped someone, you feel a sense of relieved and it feels good. We want to be something in this world, yes we do. We still need to help out others while we are still breathing. Helping out is the best thing that anyone can do for other’s that really needs the help. I also did another good deed for someone. I helped them carry a bag upstairs to their room, they had a lot of things in their hands so I carry a grocery bag to make it easier for them. I performed this particular good deed because if I was struggling with something I would want someone to help me, even if I didn’t ask.
