As an eight year old he was seen by several psychiatrists for being antisocial but was never formally diagnosed with a mental illness. He was given antipsychotic medication that was normally used to treat people with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, but refused to take it. There are theories that Rodger possibly had aspergers, or sociopathy which are common in serial killers today. In his autobiographical manifesto, My Twisted World: The Story of Elliot Rodger, that he wrote before his death he explains his life in much detail. Dahmer committed rape, murder, and dismemberment of seventeen men and boys. Why did he specifically choose boys? Dahmer learned he was homosexual during his early high school years. He fantasized the idea of their dead corpse and them being unconscious. Mental health professionals, George Palermo and clinical psychologist Samuel Friedman found that, “he killed those men because he wanted to kill the source of his homosexual attraction to them. In killing them, he killed what he hated in himself.” He was also diagnosed by his psychologists to having antisocial personality disorder and sadistic traits. Dahmer also described his killings stating, “I was not into torture. This was not a hate thing. This thing had no racism. This was not a homosexual
