Joe Vitale once said, “A goal should scare you a little, and excite you a lot.” As a High School senior, I find this statement extremely accurate because planning my educational goals frighten me, but also excite me. I remember, as a child, I would come home everyday from school, and go straight to my room, where I would pretend to be a teacher. For Christmas, I would always ask for school supplies, and ironically still do. Needless to say, I have never second guessed my career path. I plan to specifically pursue a degree in elementary education so I will have the opportunity to view the world through the eye of a child. Children always seem to have open, innocent minds, which encourages me to educate and impact elementary student’s lives.
