Why Not To Eat In School

Decent Essays
The board decided to have a close campus on HVHS. I do not think it's a bad idea to close the HVHS campus. HVHS students do not like the food they prepare. Students prefer to eat in places that are out of school. Also what HVHS students need is to take a break to clear their minds and not be so stressed out with all that of the studies. What they have to do is to leave students who can do things alone without being told what to do, for them to take responsibility.

The reason the HVHS students do not like the food they prepare is because they know how ugly. Also because sometimes they give the food cold and tasteless. That's why students prefer to go out to eat in other places where food tastes better. Maybe if the school cooks would prepare the students better food if they would eat inside the school. Many students prefer the food their moms prepare to the food they prepare at school.

It is not fair that they have students for a long time in school to rest a little and so they could enter school and not all bored to be in classes. I also think it is not the right way for students to be quiet all the time and not let them talk to friends or houses like that. I think if the teachers gave them little time to talk with their friends would be better and so could help each other in their school activities.

If the students lived on campus it would be great. The students would have to be held responsible in some way because they would have to do the activities that correspond to them without waiting for someone to do them for them, so they would prove that they are responsible. Also when students leave school they spend too much money on the week to buy their food. They also need to give them a little more time at the time they eat, so students will have more time to eat and be on time to

Schools are very important for students. In school, we can learn a lot of things, but students need the right teachers and the material to be successful in life and for a better education. Jean Anyon in “Social Class and The Hidden Curriculum of Work” shows that in some schools they don’t have the right teachers or material because of the economy or the neighborhood the schools are located. Also low-income people do not get the same education as people with a good economy.…

The ideal high school is very subjective. Even so, many have made attempts at such a lofty feat, but however impossible the goal is, the path towards that goal is surprisingly straight forward. No one would call the high schools of today ideal, but with a few tweaks, the average high school can get close. The layman may believe the role of a high school is solely to educate students, but nothing is further from the truth. A high school’s job is to prepare students for being an adult.…

“The role of schooling was to equip individuals with the skills necessary to participate in the social life of their community and to change the nature of the social order as needed or desired.” - George Count, American educational philosopher. Students cleaning up the school is another component of the school’s purpose to prepare the students to enter the community with the utmost respect. It teaches the students to become a member of society and take responsibility for themselves. Participating in this proposal should be a civil responsibility since it is the school that grants us education, we shouldn’t take it for granted and make a mess of the place.…
