Why My Yearbook: Should Students Be Paid?

Decent Essays
Last year i paid a hundred dollars on my yearbook .I was so excited to open the pages and look at all the memories i had with friends, but as i flip the pages i was at the end of the year book and found no memories i had. I think it isn't fair to have paid for a book you thought had some memories when in reality it was just a waste of money. I think all students should get equal space in the yearbook to give many students opportunities. I think that being equal is important because everyone deserves to be treated the same and no one should be able to stand out more than the others.
The people who take pictures for the yearbook usually take pictures of the people who are most recognized in the school. That's why not many people come out in the year book because they rather recognize and care about the people who are most popular

This is why some students get mad because when they buy the yearbook they want to see their memories and friends they had threw out the year but instead all they see is the one pic they took for the year book. There's reasons why so many people don't buy the yearbook and that's one of their biggest problems. Another reason why people don't buy the yearbook is because they always change the prices and they change them higher. Not so many people like buying a expensive yearbook that's why many people just rather let one of their friends buy it and they will see it of them. I think that everyone deserves to have a little spotlight in the yearbook so it can make them feel special,so they don't feel left out or feel like they don't matter. Sometimes people like to buy or see the yearbook cause sometimes their friends move and they want to see the memories they had but they can’t sometimes cause the yearbook people only choose the most important people in school and that leaves the meaningful memories out. Every year that they make a yearbook they should remove the extra information they put in the yearbook to leave more space for

Unfortunately what critics lack to admit is that normal student’s face these same issues, being involved in on campus clubs and other ordeals those normal students face no one truly has a lot of time to get a job. Athletes have built in connections that non-athletes do not have, so being on an athletic team is by far more advantageous then simply being a student. So why should student athletes be the only students benefitting monetarily for their hard work (College Athletes). No one is enslaving nor, “forcing these athlete-students to play football. Don't hand me the garbage about it being their only opportunity in life.…

Walter Kern’s absurd idea of a total removal of senior year is not only impractical, but also detrimental to a student's education. Senior year is seen by Kern as a waste of time and money, when in fact it is the greatest possible use of time and money. 12th grade is a free year of education which is a necessity for underprivileged students. Simply shipping off 11th graders to college without any money is not good for anyone. Senior year is a stepping stone to college as it allows you to experiment with more freedom before diving headfirst into college.…

School Uniforms School uniforms have been a controversial subject on whether students should wear them or not. There are many ways students can be conservative for school other than wearing a uniform. Therefore, I don’t think uniforms are necessary. School uniforms should not be mandatory because students should be able to express themselves, you pay more for certain uniforms, and it can affect one’s self-image. Students should be able to express themselves and uniforms take away their originality.…
