Drugs are bad for everybody that’s common sense, right? Marijuana, however, isn’t a drug it is a plant. It can be used just like cotton and other plants used to make materials. The only difference is that it is more durable than the others. Marijuana only has two known chemicals in it. Those are Delta-9-tetrahydrocannibinol (THC) and Cannabidiol (CBD). THC is the only mind altering chemical, yet it has no negative effects. Marijuana has many other names, such as weed, hemp, cannabis, THC, smoke, and Maryjane. It is quite beneficial, though. Marijuana can be used for medical reasons, to better the economy, and to bring more jobs. It is also better than other drugs.

Combined with chemotherapy and radiation treatment, this could solve many types of cancer, therefore saving lives. If it was someone important in the United States wouldn’t we do everything in our power to make them better? So if marijuana has qualities that can save lives, why is it illegal? Because the government wants the money that is spent on criminalizing it, maybe. Since it is a plant and can be grown by almost anyone, it could affect the income the government would get off it. It being illegal makes it difficult to grow and use. Marijuana could also be the answer to other diseases and disorders, but people will never know because it’s
