• I use my support team – seeing that one of my weaknesses is to take on too much responsibility. So I will reach out for help when I am not coping. One of my weak points in that I don’t delegate/ or taking on to much responsibility. This also came out on my 360 feedback from my support team. Sometimes when I received requests from clients like account confirmations etc. I would do it myself rather than to send it to our client service centre. The only reason I do it myself is that client service is top priority to me and I will sort it out in no time. Giving it through to the CSC will take much longer. The disadvantage of this is that I am keeping myself busy with things that occupied my time where I could have spent it more wisely by seeing …show more content…
It is also my responsibility as Relationship Executive to encourage my team to take ownership by doing the following:
• Share my vision with them – I will continuously ask everyone’s input, so that they see how I think and that we are all committed to work towards the result.
• Involve other people in Goal setting and Planning activities – encourage others to share their ideas, knowledge and insights to help making important decisions. Seeing that one of my weaknesses is that I struggle to delegate and pass on responsibility because I am always afraid that they won’t do it as good as I do. I am lately putting an effort in to always involve and share my thoughts and planning activities with my trio team. It is important to make sure that each person focus on the bigger picture and not work in isolation. It is important that the trio team co- operate to support each other and take co- responsibility for the targets of the portfolio.
• Open their minds - willing to listen to other people’s point of view and increase your own adaptability. As part of our weekly sales meetings and trio meetings we normally shared best practices and will also have discussions around business deals that we are busy with or already banked. It is so important to listen to every body’s input as there are a lot that we can learn from each other to increase our adaptability
