Rough Draft - Unit 2 EA 2 Starting school later may have some bad effects, but it also has many good effects too. It is a proven fact that a later school time helps kids education and health. Not to mention they won't be as tired because teenagers almost always stay up late and sleep in. School should start later so that kids aren't always incredibly tired and have a better health.
First of all, kids won't be tired, most kids are always tired or falling asleep in a couple of classes. There is scientific proof that starting the school day later improves the learning of kids and teens.there are also Circadian rhythms. Circadian rhythms are a cycle that tells us when to sleep and when to wake up. And those Circadian rhythms shift during the teen years telling us to stay up late and rise late.Kids won't be as tired because they will have

Kids will miss out on some after school sports and maybe even get hit by a car. Sports meetings are sometimes hours long, and after school, so if the school day starts later then there will be less time to figure out who's picking who up, practice, games. Plus, there would be less time to do homework and study for tests because kids are trying to do sports or after school activities. Kids are at risk of being hit by a car because they would be walking home during the dark and might get hit by a car or school bus on its way to drop off other kids on their way home. If school started earlier kids would be at risk of being hit by a car and missing out on after school activities and sports, if it didn't, then there would be less car incidents and kids would have time to do sports or other activities after school. In conclusion, there are some bad effects to starting school later, such as kids at risk of getting hit by a car and missing out on after school activities and other fun sports that kids find interest
