He assaulted a family and sent to jail to get rehabilitated. Sadly he didn 't get the right help and landed in jail again. The influence that gangs have on kids is strong, they give them family that they need. The gang 's show them care and safety that their parents can’t give, which leads to the juveniles make bad decisions and when getting caught leads them to life sentences. Since being involved in these types of groups can lead them to harm others and get a hire sentence because the kids knew the people in the gang. Half the time juveniles aren’t even doing the crime but they know the gang or involved with them, which gives them long sentences. Most of the time we weren’t and that is because our brains aren’t fully developed since this is the case kids shouldn 't be receiving life sentences. There are studies that have proven that people under the age of twenty-five have not fully developed their brain. In the documentary about older adults in jail, there was one man who was very angry though his teens and early twenties. But one day he says it was almost like a switch came on and he didn’t know why he was so angry. He just turned twenty-five. Kids should not serve life sentence since are whole life we go off our impulses. That is why we get into some many fights and make dumb mistakes we aren’t thinking correctly because we have something missing from us. So many kids have been sentenced to life thinking they were helping themselves but are only hurting themselves in the end. The kids want something to stop or get out of a bad situation but only end up in jail for the rest of their life. Kids are thinking but that missing part doesn’t help clarify what we did we just act out because that is the only thing that we can do. In so many instances people say that we know right from wrong but in some cases this right and wrong things goes out the door to protect us from the crucially of others. Think as if kids are time bomb, we the kids are still learning what pushes our buttons and learning about ourselves. It doesn’t help that

In the article, “Life Behind Bars: Should Teen Criminals be Locked Up for Life?,” the topic of criminals being sent to life in prison is discussed in which parents of victims give their opinions on punishment for juvenile murderers. Parents of victims believe that the “victim’s rights need to be considered in this debate,” as well as the society in which family members feel the need to protect their community from the juvenile. Although it is true that the family of the victim’s suffer through a great deal of pain, their reasoning comes from anger that they feel from recently losing a loved one. Acting from anger is never going to result in a good decision; it will only result in regret later on because the decision was based upon anger and a heat of the moment. Sentencing a juvenile life in prison without parole is depriving them of their rights and is clearly hypocritical. The minority who are pro sentencing them to life without parole don't take into consideration the possibility there is in enlightening these kids in becoming better citizens and learning from their mistakes. The reason why I consider the sentencing hypocritical is due to the way society treats juveniles and classifies them as “kids” until they commit a crime. I am in full agreement with the majority of Supreme Court ruling of abolishing mandatory life in prison for juveniles who commit murder. Many who oppose my vision on the topic, use claims such as, “they’re old enough to know better” or “a crime is a crime no matter age,” but…

Essay “If you want your children to keep their feet on the ground, put some responsibility on their shoulders,” - Abigail Van Buren Parents are the reason for the illegal actions of their child. This is because some parents do not take the time to talk to their child, letting them know what is right and what is wrong, these children will later grow up into dangerous and immoral criminals. There are people who neglect their children and do not pay attention to them, and so the child will not know or learn what is right and wrong. This is why parents should be legally responsible for their children's actions because they are their child’s biggest influence, they should teach them, and penalizing will make both parents and children more responsible. When children are growing up they imitate or act like their parents, so when that parent is irresponsible, reckless, and cruel the child will most likely become that.…

The prefrontal cortex, which regulates aggression, long-term planning, moral judgements and more, is not yet developed in kids. So as a result, children act out in immature ways. In the article, “Juveniles Don’t Deserve Life Sentences,” Gail Garinger brought up the idea that he has seen kids change their lives after getting the help they need. Thus, juveniles should be rehabilitated, instead of given life without parole, in order to change and become responsible adults. Another reason why juveniles should not face the same consequences as adults is because it is dangerous for kids to be placed in adult prisons.…

Parents should be punished as same as their kids should. If the kid is judged to stay in a separate juvenile system, their parents should stay with them and try to teach them to be a better person in the future. Moreover, parents should stay in prisons when their kids are judged to imprison for severe crimes.
