Why Kids Should Have To Stay In School

In the U.S, about 25% of high school freshman dropout and fail to graduate. About 19 percent of the dropouts are because the kids had to help their families make money. Also, kids from low income areas are 2.4 times more likely to drop out than middle income kids. I don’t think kids should have to stay in school until they are 18, because they might need to help their families get money, and forcing kids to go to school can create problems for other students as well as teachers. According to Missy Remiss on WSCH, forcing kids to stay in school when they don’t want to be “can cause problems for teachers and other students as well”. If the government passes a law that stops them from dropping out of school to help their family make money,
