Too Much Homework
Have you ever stayed up super late just to finish your homework? Kids should have less homework. Too much homework is causing problems for a lot of kids. These problems that are going around due to too much homework need to be identified. I too sometimes stress over loads of homework and whether or not it is done the right way and my answers are correct and will I get a grade on my work. Kids should have less homework; Less homework allows students to have less stress; Less homework gives kids more time to have more free time to do other activities; Less homework also gives lowers the amount of work for teachers to go through and grade.
Too much homework can cause stress. Staying up late at night and struggling on lots of homework is very unhealthy for students. According to CNN is Homework Making Your Child Sick, states that “New research shows that some students are doing more than three hours of homework a night.” Too much stress is unhealthy because it leads to a shorter life. Since most of the stress is coming from lack of sleep, it can lead to fatigue. Stress is not the only thing that too much homework causes. Homework also takes away lots of your time.

This is why most students don’t really do anything at home but homework. When students are doing all of this homework they have less time to do other things like soccer, piano lessons, football, or other after school activities. According to The Huffington Post, “The average student is glued to his or her desk for almost 7 hours a day. Add 2 to 4 hours of homework each night and they are working a 45 to 55 hour week!” lots of homework takes away kids freetime because most of the time used on all of these homework assignments can be used for more physical activities.
