Why Is Writing Important To Me

Decent Essays
I have a interest in reading, writing, and music. Without those three things my life would be peculiar. I admire reading because I am able to escape this crazy world we live in and enter a wonderful alternate world. When I read it feels like I am alone even if I am surrounded by hundreds of people, I am able to tune them out and focus on my book. Writing lets me have control over something in my life and I feel a sense of security when I am writing. Most of the time I feel like I don't have control over my life but the stories that I write is one of the few things that have total control over. I am also able to get out all of my emotions through my writing. I can write about how mad I might be, how sad I can get, or how happy I am. Listening

As I grew older, I started to dislike reading because it just seemed boring to me to read the books or novels we had to read in school. Although, I did enjoy to read my own personal books that I checked out from the library, reading was just something I didn’t have much interest for as I did for writing. I greatly enjoyed writing. Most of the writing I have done, whether it be academic or informal, has always had a touch of a personal experience and emotion. I have loved the feeling of calculating thoughts and getting them down on paper.…
