Why Is Working For Allowance Important

Improved Essays
Working for allowance teaches kids many traits they will need in life. The first lesson it teaches is responsibility. The second lesson is work ethic, to work hard and well. The last lesson it supplies is that the kids learn life skills. Kids should know how to handle all of these lessons and more as they grow up. Allowance helps kids learn work ethic. Work ethic is the ability to work well and do a good job. They have to work for what they want in life. It teaches them that everything does not get handed to them. They realize that how much effort they put into their chores is how much they earn back from their accomplishments. Having chores and a work ethic helps kids not to be lazy, but to enjoy working and seeing their accomplishments.
