Why Is Water Better Than Sports Drinks

Water is the best form of hydration, while sports drinks do replace the body of electrolytes and carbohydrates for the ‘moment’. Replenishing the body of what’s needed is major. But which is honestly better for the body; water or sports drinks?

As it is publicized by the sports/energy drinks such as Gatorade, Powerade, and Vitamin Water, they supposedly replenish the body of electrolytes and carbohydrates. These companies in fact do as they say they do. “While exercising it is important to replace electrolytes; however, athletes and marathon participants exercising for period of an hour or more can benefit from electrolyte replacement in particular.” Feeding the body those lost electrolytes is a great during exercise but over all water
