Why Is Waking Up Important To Me

I remember I was about the age of 5. At this time my mother and I were living together alone in a two story apartment sitting right on the hills of Troy. During this age, I was attending daycare everyday daily because my mother would work full time during the week. I can still remember her waking me up everyday at the crack of dawn at 5 am and dropping me off to Samaritan, the daycare I was attending daily. At the time when I was younger, I enjoyed the benefits of waking up early there were a lot of perks sometimes. Sometime we would be in a rush so early so early in the morning because I was always the most complicated one to wake up in the morning, that my mom would take me to the Dunkin Donuts so buy us breakfast most often if we did not have enough time to make breakfast before we left home. I loved walking in there and smelling the heavy aroma of coffee and donuts early in the morning. My mom would always get her usual a …show more content…
It is something that has carried it on throughout my entire lifetime because of its valuable use today's world. Without writing, I am able to do and prepare for the things I could do today. Without learning how to understand and read words, I wouldn't even know how to spell my own name. The influential people that are around me today have benefited in many ways also on my reading and writing skills without my mom and Ms. Doolittle I would probably still be spelling my own name wrong to this very day. I appreciate my mom also being there to support me thru all my stages of learning and discovering myself with words and writing. Although my interest in writing may not be as strong as it was before when I was younger, I am still grateful that I have a keepsake of all my journals and I can look back and see how passionate I was at those ages of my writing skills. I’m very appreciative of having the opportunity to understand the value of writing and words itself as

The drive to push and better yourself to grasp onto unexpected possibilities, we call opportunities. The belief and confidence that you hold within you, we call faith. Independence as your hope, in all experiences that you’ll be able to make something towards your future.…

Literacy Narrative The earliest memory I have of reading is with my grandmother at her house. When I was a toddler, she would read to me every time I spent the night with her. My favorite book for her to read to me was Three Little Kittens by Paul Galdone. I 'm not too sure why this was my favorite book, but my grandmother says that I "insisted on having it read to me" every single time I was with her. She would also read the Bible to me, which was quite confusing and complicated for a child to comprehend, but she explained the stories to me in a child-like format.…

Whether we know it or not in this modern society we are writers everyday of our lives. These interactions shape not only how we communicate but how we write as well. Personally, I have been shaped by the influence of both other writers I have known and those I have only read the creations of. Those same influences contributed to both my writing style in the classroom and to my identity as a writer. I spent a lot of my childhood with my nose deep in fiction novels at near by libraries.…

Writing: A Perfectionist’s Imperfection Have you ever seen those movies when the antagonist is holding the gun straight at the protagonist’s head? You wait, wait, and wait. There is the loud gun cock, but it never seems to actually go off and the protagonist never seems to die. For one thing, writing for me is like someone is sitting behind my desk laughing at me menacingly with the gun pressed against my temple. A metaphorical gun killed my thoughts of a perfectly good paper.…

    What Writing Means Wrong

Writing... It´s been with us since we were born and it will stay with us until we die. I can’t complain though because writing has made me the way I am today, it has taught me how to use correct grammar, good detail and how to start my essays off with a nice thesis statement. From all the writing we have done over the course of school you would think you know what it means right??? Wrong. Everyone has a different view of what writing means, if they like it or not, if they do it in their free time or not I view writing as a way to escape from the outside world (unless you're writing an informational essay, in that case you have a STRICT criteria you have to follow which to some people could be a drag).…
