Volunteering should be necessary to get a scholarship; Volunteering is a noble thing to do, Volunteering has shaped America what it is today. Volunteering provides many benefits to an individual and society, but especially to students who are trying to qualify for scholarships. Volunteering has always helped with the students going to college or getting a job right out of college. Three benefits of volunteering are academic gain, networking opportunities, and gaining job experience.
First, students who volunteer are more academically successful and passionate in college, because students apply what they learn in their volunteer work in their classes. Volunteering can help improve learning by receiving knowledge or wisdom from others while working. The best thing about gaining experience of volunteering is the fact that an individual will learn new skills while helping a good cause.
